SMS Consent

Cantr SMS is a transactional text-message service that Cantr runs on behalf of the barn that invited you. This page explains what the messages are, how you opt in, and how you stop them.

What you'll receive

SMS from Cantr is strictly transactional. Typical messages include:

• Lesson reminders (24 hours and 2 hours before your ride).
• Booking confirmations and cancellations.
• Invoice-due notices and payment-received receipts.
• Operational alerts from your barn (e.g. “lessons moved to the covered arena”).

Message frequency varies but averages 3–8 messages per month. Cantr does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising SMS — ever.

How you opt in

When your barn adds you to Cantr, we email you an invite. Setting your password lands you on Account → Notification Preferences, which has three separate toggles: Email, SMS, and Push. SMS is off by default. To turn it on you must:

1. Confirm your phone number.
2. Read the disclosure printed next to the toggle:

   “By enabling SMS, you agree to receive lesson reminders, booking confirmations, invoice notices, and operational alerts from your barn. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.”

3. Flip the toggle on and save.

We store the exact date and time you turned SMS on. You can turn it back off any time from the same screen.

Standard rates apply

Your carrier may charge for incoming SMS depending on your plan. Cantr does not charge you for SMS; the messages are paid for by the barn you belong to.

Opting out (STOP)

Reply STOP to any Cantr SMS. You'll get one final message:

You've been unsubscribed from Cantr SMS. You will no longer receive messages from your barn. Reply START to re-subscribe.

We also accept STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL,END, and QUIT. Any of them flips your in-app SMS toggle to off immediately.

Getting help (HELP)

Reply HELP for a short auto-reply:

Cantr: This is a barn-management notification service. For help, contact your barn admin or write to info@cantr.us. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.

You can also email info@cantr.us any time — we reply from a real human.

Coming back (START)

Changed your mind? Reply START (or YES,UNSTOP) to the same Cantr number to re-subscribe. We'll flip your preference back on and confirm with:

Welcome back to Cantr SMS. You'll now receive lesson reminders and notifications from your barn. Reply STOP any time to opt out.

Data

Your phone number, opt-in timestamp, and opt-out timestamp are stored on your user record inside your barn's Cantr tenant. They are not shared with other barns, advertisers, or data brokers. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
